Internation Summit of African Students
Time & Location
About the Event
There has been a continuous call on Leaders across the world for the effective mobilisation of resources; and the key aim to deploy these resources in the continent to aid sustainable development.
The African continent has over the last few years received resounding interest from leaders in superior world economies. With the ever-increasing numbers of its young people, vast unexplored opportunities in the area of agriculture, infrastructure, health, education, entertainment etc, the continent is at its prime for exogenous growth. However, in the middle of all of these, there is a constant skill deficit due to the lack of the required education, there is an increase threat of rising unemployment amongst its youth, health issues etc.
Upon this notion, there has never been a more robust call for the skills, expertise, wealth of Africans (This also included people who may not necessarily come from the continent but also those who can trace their descendant back to the continent) living in the diaspora to use their resources in the bid to help the overall growth of the continent.
Notwithstanding this, the need for diaspora mobilization has been affected by a huge lack of research data to back this call, as a result, it is the aim of this summit to first provide a platform for such research to be footed; thereby creating a more authentic platform and access to needed data for any sort of African diaspora research.
